Job Summary:

As an HR Admin Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of HR and organization operations and administration. This internship offers an opportunity to develop essential skills in recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and HR compliance. You will work closely with HR professionals, contributing to projects and initiatives that support the organization's human capital strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inputting information into databases, spreadsheets, and other software systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintaining electronic filing systems, organizing documents, and ensuring information is easily retrievable.
  • Drafting and formatting emails, letters, memos, and other documents as required.
  • Scheduling meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for multiple personnel.
  • Handling sensitive information with discretion and ensuring confidentiality protocols are followed.
  • Assist in updating HR policies and procedures manuals as needed.
  • Participate in HR projects related to process improvement and efficiency.
  • Supporting efforts to maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Assisting with research, data analysis, and presentation preparation for HR-related projects.

Duration and Compensation:

  • This internship is a 3 month part-time position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
  • Compensation may include a stipend and opportunities for professional development.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate's degree program, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with MS 365 and Google Suite.
  • Prior internship experience in HR or related fields.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, expert level with Excel preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
  • Must communicate professionally and clearly in written and verbal format.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources or business administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and frequently operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols as well as apply effective hand/eye coordination.
  • May be required to occasionally move about to access file cabinets to lift files and push and pull file cabinet drawers.
  • Must be able to occasionally move and lift office equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
